Porterville College Library Resources and Services:
In addition to standard circulation services for non-reserve materials, the Porterville College Library provides resources in a variety of formats (online, audio-visual, and print media) for in-house patrons. Off campus, patrons can utilize online databases and electronic book collections. Major collections include reference, reserves, nonfiction, literary arts, short stories, Valley Writers, Anthropology, media, and periodicals.
Computers provide students with access to the Internet, online databases, and the Ebsco ebooks collection (formerly NetLibrary). Wi-Fi is available in the Library. Media materials can be viewed in the library. Students can do school work in the Reading Room and in study rooms. Card-activated copiers and printers are available.
Library services most needed and used by students include faculty reserve materials made available to students as well as the assistance provided by faculty reference/teaching librarians.
Spring 2012 LIBRARY HOURS:
Monday through Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
